Granite City Grocery was at the Barre Heritage Festival!

We handed out our new brochure and membership forms.  We talked to a lot of interested people!

Our members were accompanied by our friends the Carrot and the Pea while we marched in the parade.

Thank you Kyle, Elizabeth, Stephen, Gayle, Garf, Bruce, Sherry, Nick, Heather and Clay!
A message our Board President:
Moving Forward

We have heard from the members of our co-op family, and the general public, the question of: "When is our community going to have a grocery store?"  In this newsletter edition, we wanted to take some column space to answer this question.

Our Site Committee, made up of volunteers and industry professionals, has identified potential sites in our downtown.  They have reached out to developers to see who will take the next step with us. The developers have asked us to demonstrate sustained membership growth to show that we’ll have the resources to make our grocery store a success.

We need your help! Tell friends and family why you joined our co-op family. Let them know that they can join through our website , follow us on Facebook, email us, or meet us at Espresso Bueno every Saturday for Coffee On The Coop, 8 a.m. to 10 a.m.

Meet a volunteer:
Nancy Wolfe, one of our early members, had this to say about volunteering:
"I volunteer because a cooperative grocery store is essential to a healthy community."

Nancy is one our valued Outreach and Membership committee volunteers.  She spends her time as a booth associate at the Farmer's Market and other opportunities as they arise.  Nancy is a wonderful and upbeat addition to our team!
Meet a new member and volunteer:
Mary Kay Commins is one of our newest members and volunteers.  She printed the membership discounts on the back of her member card and is well on her way to earning back the cost of her Granite City Grocery membership.

Save now when you show your member card at Nelson Ace Hardware, Richard J Wobby Jewelers, CW Print & Design, Quarry Kitchen & Spirits, Vermont Bicycle Shop, Hunger Mtn Co-op and
