Hello fellow Granite City Grocery owners and volunteers!
This year’s Annual Meeting on April 18, 5pm, at Barre Auditorium will be bigger and better than ever before!
Ben Sandel, one of the leading co-op start-up consultants in the U.S., will be our keynote speaker. He has consulted to co-ops across the US and Canada and is pleased to share with Barre some of the new cooperative activity going on in the country and place Granite City Grocery’s progress into that larger context.
Last year we distributed door hangers with an invitation to our Annual Meeting and some news about Granite City Grocery. They attach easily to front door (or garage door) knobs with rubber bands. This will increase attendance and those who are not able to attend the Annual Meeting can be updated on our co-op’s progress.
Email email@example.com to let us know when you can hang door hangers in your neighborhood, or one nearby, between March 19 and April 2. This is perhaps our best chance to reach large numbers of our community members by effectively putting an invitation and Granite City Grocery information in their hands. It’s easy, enjoyable and we only can get it done with enough volunteers.
Thank you for helping to bring food access to our community.
Granite City Grocery
Board of Directors
Applications are open to join our Board of Directors. See the election page on our website for details on how you can be a leader in your community's co-op. Click here (PDF) for the application! Applications must be completed and postmarked by Monday, April 2.
The annual meeting will include food, kids’ activities and musical entertainment, along with Granite City Grocery’s Annual Report. It is open to all, and the co-op invites you to attend. Join the fun and even join the co-op, if you haven’t already done so.
